Teacher card and bookmark...

Hi everyone! Looks like summer is nearing the end, with school in full bloom and the weather starting to shift. I am sad to see it end but fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the cooler weather and the colors...the colors are what makes fall so wonderful. I finally think I am back in "school" mode so I have been busy doing some fall cleaning and organizing. Now that I have that all done, I decided to take some time and go through a bunch of my scraps and see what I could come up with. Scraps are great for making cards and you can never have too many cards. Since it is school time now I thought I would make this teacher card with a special little bookmark attached. I used the We R Memory Keepers Hall Pass line. I love that colors coincide with fall and that steered clear of the normal primary colors. Don't get me wrong, I like the primary colors for school, but my kids are getting older and these colors just "grow" with them throughout the school year. I hope you enjoy and I hope to see you again soon....

Double tri-fold mini album...

Happy Monday everyone! I thought I would start the week off with a tutorial. This one is pretty neat. Basically you are taking 2 of the tri-shutter cards and combining them to make a little mini album. These cards are so easy and fun to make once you learn this technique of combining them you will be making these all the time. The post is pretty long so I won't bore you with lots of gibber jabber...I will get right to point....
The supplies you are going to need are:
1 12x12 cardstock or the heavier quality patterned paper
2 4x6 pieces of matching or coordinating  cardstock
2 6x6 pieces of matching or coordinating cardstock
Paper cutter
Scor-Pal paper scorer
Adhesive
Ribbon
Embellishments
To start...

Once you get it all together you are ready to decorate it. Your finished product will look like you spent hours on it!
Here is what it will look like when you open the cover....
The pictures were a little hard to take but this is what your album will look like when it is completely opened...

I hope you enjoy making these as much as I did and thanks for stopping by!

Getting my Momenta going...

Okay so summer is winding down, the kids are back in school...I am planning on taking full advantage of my time this fall and get myself caught up. With all the summer assignments done I thought I would do a layout for fun, and let me tell you, these Momenta products really made doing this layout just that. I love paper and when I find a 12x12 patterned sheet that I like, I hate cutting it...well Momenta has thought of those of us who think that way. They have created a duel 6x6 paper pack. It comes with a pad of patterned paper in 6 sizes AND they are double sided! And if that weren't enough, it also comes with a 6x6 color coordinating cardstock pad. I am telling you this is genius. Perfect for those of us who don't like cutting that pretty 12x12 paper and it works perfectly for those card makers. These paper pads paired with the clear layered stickers....LOVE!!!!
