Scrap & Play challenge 7

Hi everyone! The new challenge is up on the Scrap & Play blog. This challenge is being sponsored by the awesome Paper Issues. Not only are they providing one lucky linker a $20.00 CG to their store, if you shop over there now and use the code...scrapandplay you will receive 20% off your order...so what are you waiting for...check out my interpretation and go to the Scrap & Play blog to leave us yours!

I was inspired by the mint greens and peach colors. I also used a background paper to "mimic" the slices of watermelon...

I just LOVE this line, the colors and prints are just amazing. I also took some time to play with my eBosser that I won a few months back...why it took me so long is beyond me, this thing is great!

Fun with the We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile

Recently I created some projects for the Create and Craft show using the We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-dile. The layout I am sharing with you today shows a simple way to use the Crop-A-Dile to add eyelets as an accent on your page. I created a pleated paper boarder and used the Crop-A-Dile to punch holes in the pleats. Once my holes were punched I was able to add my eyelets and then set them with the Crop-A-Dile...no need for several tools, the Crop-A-Dile does it all!

Linking up with Paper Issues...

So, is everyone calmed down from the Super Bowl yesterday? To me it was just another excuse to eat lots of yummy food that has no nutritional value what so ever! It also means that we are that much closer to me getting to watch baseball and cheering on my my ROYALS...but enough sports talk for now, today I am sharing with you a card I made some time ago. I never shared it with you because it was kind of a sore subject for me. I made this card for a magazine submission and I really thought I had a chance of it getting picked up but the magazine thought otherwise. LOL! So today when I was checking out the Paper Issues blog and saw the new theme they had going on I figured it was time to share...the theme is quite simple "Fill Er Up". What I really love about Paper Issues is that their themes are so open to any type of interpretation so this is my take on that theme. I made the card with a pocket off of a pair of my daughter's old jeans and "filled" it up with pretty felt flowers...

Day 2 of the New Year!

Well, Christmas has come and gone and now it is the second day of the New Year...I can't believe how fast the time goes. It seems like the older we get the faster the days go by. So as I write this, I have done some thinking. Every year I vow to make new years resolutions and never do. Not because I forget, I just come up with very "un-realistic" ones so....this year I decided to make some that I could possibly stick to. 2013 was not a bad year...my daughter entered Jr. High, my son graduated from High School and then started a new journey in life known as College! 2014 I am making ME changes...changes that I hope will make this year a very good year. So as I try to stick to my resolutions I might as well start with an easy one...I am sharing with you a layout that some have seen already but that is okay because right now I am starting to fulfill 2 resolutions at one time...keeping up with my blog and staying more current with my layouts. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you come back again because I promise, I will have lots more to share with you!
