For those of you who are not that all familiar with Vellum it is a translucent crisp type of paper. Since it is translucent it sometimes gets lost on your page so the first tip I am going to share with you is how to make the Vellum not get "lost" on your page. For my layout I was using a soft light background so my vellum kind of blended in. To solve this I scraped up the edges and then used a coordinating color of ink to ink the edges. I also curled up some of the corners and tears. Doing this made the Vellum stand out a bit more. Adhering Vellum can be tricky unless you have the proper tape. Therm o Web has just that. It is a Vellum Tape runner that is a virtually invisible permanent double-sided smooth adhesive. See, you can not see the tape through my Vellum. There are also some spots that I wanted to be a little raised up off the paper, I used Therm o Web's 3D foam adhesive squares. These are not translucent so I made sure I adhered them in a spot that I could put embellishments on top of to cover up the adhesive.
See, Vellum is not that scary to use and is much easier to work with now that you know these easy little tricks! So go on...go get yourself some and lets see what you create and maybe you can share a tip or two also.
