I won!

Just got news that the recipe book I posted up yesterday for the LYB contest won! Yay...I got 1st. place.
I also got a card done today, I know it isn't a lot but hey, I got something done. This card is for Creative Imaginations monthly card sketch challenge. I used the Robots Rock Collection....

Little Yellow Bicycle's Savor....

I just love Little Yellow Bicycle! They were running another contest to promote their Savor line. I decided since I am always loosing my favorite recipes I would make a little book just for my favorites!

The perfect paper and the perfect sketch....

I don't know about you, but when I buy new scrappy supplies I tend to only buy stuff for pages I know I am working on so I simply love it when I find that PERFECT paper or embellishment! For these pictures that is what happened. This paper by Little Yellow Bicycle's Clothes Line collection could not have been more perfect for these pictures of my daughter playing Little Bo Peep in her school play. I also realized that this PageMaps sketch for the January contest over at A Cherry on Top was perfect for these pictures too! I love when a page comes together this perfectly!

A little bit of summer!

I know here in Illinois we haven't got as much snow as some parts of the US but, we have had a lot. I for one am done with it! I decided to go back and do some of my summer layouts just to get me out of the winter funk. Bo Bunny has this wonderful line called Sun Kissed...just perfect to put you back in the summertime mood. I also used a sketch for the sketch challenge that they are running. Here is their sketch....

Let it snow...well, not really...

I actually got something done this morning..or should I say I actually got something done since the first of the year! Thanks to Bo Bunny and their Tuesday card challenge I was able to get the creative juices flowing and create this card. The catch was to use any of the wonderful wraps that Bo Bunny makes. I used the Frost Wraps and papers from the Midnight Frost line which by the way is gorgeous. If you haven't seen it person you should because the online photos simply don't do it justice!

Happy New Year...a little late....

Okay...4th and final kid on the bus and on his way to school, dishes done, laundry in the washer, fresh cup of coffee poured and most importantly...peace and quiet!
I know this is a little late for the start of the new year but I figure better late than never. A bunch of girls over at A Cherry on Top decided to challenge each other with weekly blog prompts to get everyone motivated.
